Adolescence is a time of determining one’s identity. It is shaped by many external influences including families, communities, media, and peers. It is during this time that adolescents look beyond the family to see where they fit into the world or if they fit at all. It is an issue that experts deem the main contributor to girls’ loss of dreams, self-esteem, and purpose.
Founder Rosalyn Smith’s passion has always been to reinforce positive values and provide the opportunity to develop girls and young women physically, mentally, and spiritually. In 2010, God gave her a vision and a blueprint to fulfill that passion and become a catalyst to inspire them to believe in themselves and take control of their lives.
Following Gods blueprint, the Angels of Virtue Girls Outreach was created and officially launched on October 10, 2010. Their first meeting was held at Woods Memorial Baptist Church with six volunteer members.
